To try to get this working, I recently purchased a secondary amp with RCA inputs to power the extra speakers. The additional speakers 5 pairs are mounted in the ceilings throughout the house. I also have a speaker selector box so that I can select which room or rooms I want to send the sound to. The output can be mono. I just want some sound to the other rooms. Any ideas short of buying a new amp with a 2nd zone output? Thanks, -Rich DiPietro Hi, Rich, This is a question that we get from time to time for various receivers so I’ll answer for your specific receiver but will also give suggestions that would work for any receiver.

Add lighting effects to your stereo Turn your home stereo into a party-worthy conversation piece by pimping it out with some sound-activated lights. Add lighting effects to your stereo 2: For some of you, that’s a good thing. Here are two techniques you can use to add sound-reactive lights to your stereo, boom box, computer, or pretty much anything that makes music.
An inexpensive EL wire inverter that reacts to sound. These are sold online from various places and include some combination of electroluminescent wire , a power adapter, and a special power inverter that drives the wire’s power in response to sound picked up by an integrated microphone. You can get the EL wire in different lengths, colors, and thickness. You can use splitter cables to drive multiple strands of wire. It’s a great, uncomplicated solution, but it does have some drawbacks.
Loud music will drown it out, but it’s no good for Kenny G. Also, the effect is pretty much restricted to blinking on and off. Unlike the EL wire kit, you can route your music directly into the Apollo Jammer instead of relying on a microphone. You plug your audio source into the minijack input on the side, then run the included minijack cable out from the Apollo Jammer to the aux input on your stereo.
Once you’re hooked up, you can adjust the sensitivity of the effect with a button located on the top of the device.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to attach speakers to your computer Step 1: Ensure that the computer is turned off. Plug the speakers into the power socket. On the back of the computer tower are a number of small, round, coloured-coded sockets. The one to plug your speakers into is usually green.
A quick look at the datasheet shows that the individual LEDs are multiplexed, meaning that a single line can drive more than one LED. In this case, all of the anodes in a column are electrically connected, and all of the cathodes in a row are electrically connected (or vice versa, depending on the model).

Beat little modulator Chineyrasta from Miami, FL With the proper crossover this beat modulator rocks. I have it hooked up to several red, blue and green LEDs and it works perfectly.
Most of the functions work as expected, but the “auto” mode where the unit reacts to music isn’t as reactive as I would like. When the controller hears music, it puts the strip in a rapid flash mode. It just kind of goes crazy, bright, and fast. It continues this way until the music stops.

Subwoofers are able to be placed out of sight. Corners are optimal for deep bass. Only a long, single mono cable is required. Monster Subwoofer Cable is able to retain all the body and integrity of even the lowest bass signals. Small speaker systems and low powered amplifiers especially need the benefits of Monster speaker cables.
To test motor operation, hook up the wires according to the directions in the Digitrax Decoder Manual. One of the two center LEDs will light as the motor voltage increases from the decoder. Change direction and the other LED will light.
SpikenzieLabs Additional Images Description: The Musixel adds color to your music. Attach it to your music source MP3 player, phone, computer, stereo etc… and the Musixel will convert the frequencies that it hears into colors. There are nine different colorful modes for the LEDs to display. The colors vary by frequency and volume. Some modes display traditional style graphic equalizer bars, some pump all LEDs colorfully at the same time and others display a full rainbow of colors.
There is a mode for everyone! The Musixel works with all types of music. In most modes it converts frequencies into colors where the low notes 63 to hz are red, mid notes to hz are green and high notes to hz are blues. When the Musixel hears multiple frequencies at the same time it mixes the primary colors into a huge variety of colors. The louder the music, the brighter the LEDs.
This version of the Musixel is pre-soldered.
Hook Up Speakers Without Receiver?
It had a pickup on it so it could be amplified. We were just about to walk away and listen to a take when John leaned his guitar against the amp. He really should have turned the electric off. For most musicians and engineers, though, audio feedback is something to avoid.
As for how to hook up wireless speakers, it would help to know what you are hooking up and what you need it to do. Different wireless speakers work with different .
Luck is not always in our favor, now is it? Sometimes we get stuck in such situations where the things are pretty crucial and not likely to patch up. That can happen with your speaker and TV too. Receiver, we know how important this name is in the electronic universe. It’s an essential thing to form a wired connection and you can’t connect things if there’s no receiver in the end. I mean, if there’s nothing to ‘receive’, how is it supposed to ‘receive’?
So, no doubt, we need a receiver to form a connection. And here comes the bad luck part. You’re supposed to connect your audio system to the TV, what if the receiver breaks or gets damaged? Yes, this can happen. Well, I know, ’cause I’ve been the sufferer as well.
I was a bit careless when I ordered, so I had to correct for that in my crossover. I would recommend choosing tweeters and woofers with matching impedance. Add Tip Ask Question Step 3: Planning the Enclosure The enclosure of course holds everything together. The shape and the dimensions of the enclosure are also important and impact the sound of the speakers, however.

The sender is for the speaker wire input and the receiver is for the speaker wire output. Also, check to see if your speaker wires are operating properly. If the cables are connected correctly and there is still no sound, the sender may have a faulty speaker wire input. Consider replacing the speaker wire input panel.
If the LEDs are lit solidly on both the sender and receiver, then the communication is working properly and sound should be coming out of the speakers. The maximum distance between the sender and receiver is feet. Shorten the distance between the devices if they are further apart.

Contact How to Build a Speaker Circuit with Adjustable Volume This is a building on the last project which we constructed a speaker and connected it to a 3. In this project, we’re going to now add a potentiometer to the speaker, so that we can adjust the volume output by the speakers. Parts Needed Basic Speaker 8-ohm, ohm, doesn’t matter 3. Leds and speakers controlled with Matlab. Asked by Vicente. Vicente (view profile) 1 question asked; 0 answers I suppose the simplest solution is to hook the LEDs to the LPT port and control it through the putvalue CMD. If you need to control up to 8 LEDs you can directly connect the LEDs to the LPT port through a single resistor/LED.
It originally was an abbreviation for “Public Address,” like the announcement speakers in the airport or at a baseball stadium—not exactly the sound quality you want for your music. From portable setups to arena-sized concert systems, the technology of sound reinforcement has evolved in a major way over the years. Today’s cabinets are lighter, louder, and better-sounding than ever. New materials and computer-aided design have revolutionized how sound is delivered at all budget levels.
Today, when considering new cabinets, one of the major questions is whether to go with active or passive cabinets. Passive cabinets are what were traditionally thought of as PA cabinets—speakers in a box. A passive cabinet needs at least one external power amp, more if you want a bi-amplified system, with an external electronic crossover and separate power amps for the low- and high-frequency program material. Passive systems require a little more setup time and care, and require carting more gear, but compensate by being just a little more flexible, especially when something fails, since you can just move it to a different power amp or swap out a speaker fairly quickly and get back to the show.
Active cabinets have power amps and electronic crossovers built into the cabinet, so you can hook directly from the outputs of your mixing board to the input of the speaker. They can also be daisy-chained, so it’s easy to expand your system to whatever size you need for a particular venue. Many newer active cabinets use lightweight neodymium drivers and equally light Class-D digital power amps to keep weight down. Some of these new cabinets can provide watts or more of power in a cabinet that weighs less than 40 pounds.
They make for a fast, easy setup and easy custom configurations for different venues.

Available in wall-mounted strips or flexible cables, the LEDs connect to your speakers’ positive and negative terminals. Typical LED systems have a set of wires for the left speaker and another for the right. During stereo music playback, the two audio channels activate different LEDs to create the sensation of movement. The supplied wires on the LED set connect directly to the speakers.

Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames. When installing lighting in a locomotive you have a chose of either lamps or LEDs. There are reasons to chose one over the other. Factors to consider are life, cost, size and ease of installation. Lamps have been with us for a long time. The first visible colour LEDs were red followed by yellow and then green.
In the last few years white LEDs have also become available. The first white LEDs had a blueish tint that did not look like an incandescent locomotive headlight. These new LEDs produce colours that are closer to that of an incandescent lamp. These new LEDs are now installed in some of the new locomotives, supplied with some decoders and available through many model railroad suppliers.
The cost of LEDs is just a bit more than lamps, but well worth it over time.

LEDs will only work wired up the correct way, With a bit of experimentation, it is quite easy to get the lights to come on in the correct manner. We use 12 V LEDs supplied by EXPO Tools. As we use DCC, we add the resistor.
